Create and manage listings

Build an accessible rental listing, keep it current, and use readiness and insight tools before increasing reach.

Create a listing

Starter limit

Starter landlords can keep two active listings. Premium unlocks unlimited active listings.

  1. Open Listings and tap Create Listing. You can also use Add → New Listing from Dashboard or Create Listing from an empty Boosts screen.
  2. Add photos.Choose up to 15 images. Use the arrow controls to set their order and enter useful alt text for each photo.
  3. Add optional immersive media.Record or upload a walkthrough video, scan or upload a USDZ room model, or attach a virtual-tour link. These sync after the listing is saved.
  4. Enter the basics.Add a clear title and a factual description of up to 2,000 characters.
  5. Describe the property.Choose property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, year built, floor, and outdoor details that apply.
  6. Select a complete address suggestion.Choose a search result so RentMatcher can place the map pin. Add an apartment, suite, or unit separately.
  7. Enter monthly rent and deposit. The app warns when the deposit looks unusually high compared with rent.
  8. Set availability, pets, amenities, and neighborhood vibe.Use only accurate options that apply to the home.
  9. Review and save.If RentMatcher detects a likely duplicate, merge into the existing listing or deliberately create a separate listing.
Expected result

The listing appears in your portfolio and can begin syncing to renter discovery once its saved state is available.

Edit, duplicate, and inspect a listing

  1. Tap a listing in the portfolio. The detail screen shows photos, rent, amenities, description, performance, and landlord tools.
  2. Tap Edit to change listing facts.Save after updating rent, availability, photos, media, address, or property details.
  3. Use Duplicate for a similar unit.A copied draft opens for review. Change unit-specific facts before saving so renters do not see misleading duplicates.
  4. Open View Full Insights.Premium landlords can review time range, renter interest, rent analysis, listing health, and recommendations.

Improve readiness before boosting

Photos and alt text

Lead with a clear primary image, show the actual rooms, and describe meaningful visual content for VoiceOver users.

Media Kit

Use the Premium checklist for photo coverage, room context, labels, video, virtual tours, and 3D media.

Listing Rewrite

Review any generated copy before applying it. You remain responsible for accuracy and Fair Housing-safe language.

Rent Insights

Compare asking rent with available peer information; sparse data is shown as not enough information rather than a recommendation.

Demand Brief

Review aggregate saved-search fit. It describes market demand, not individual renter identity.

Remove photos and other media safely

Removing a photo also removes its alt text. Removing video, 3D, or virtual-tour media detaches it from the saved listing after the next save. Confirm destructive controls only when you intend to remove the public asset.

Do not publish stale availability

Update the available date, rent, and media whenever the home changes. Connected imports can also surface differences that need review.

Troubleshooting

The address will not map

Return to Address and choose one of the search suggestions instead of leaving only typed text. Confirm the map pin before saving.

I cannot create another active listing

You reached the Starter active-listing limit. Update or expire an existing listing, or review the Premium gate for unlimited listings.

A photo or video will not upload

Keep the app open on a stable connection and retry. Large media may be compressed before upload. If an error code appears, include it when contacting support.

The listing may be a duplicate

Choose Merge only if it is the same home. Choose Create new listing anyway for a genuinely separate unit, then verify the address and unit number.
