Manage your landlord account and security

Configure the daily workflow, keep recovery methods current, and use destructive account controls deliberately.

PathBottom tab bar → Profile → Settings

Configure landlord notifications

  1. Open Settings → Notifications. The master switch controls all RentMatcher notifications.
  2. Keep the landlord alerts you need.Available categories include matches, messages, tour requests, renter questions, performance alerts, and expiring boosts.
  3. Resolve system permission if needed. If iPhone notification permission is off, use the provided device-settings guidance before expecting alerts.

Create saved replies

Starter allowance

Starter landlords can keep up to three saved replies. Premium unlocks additional reply workflows.

  1. Open Profile → Settings → Replies.Tap New Reply or choose a preset.
  2. Add a short title and message.Keep it warm, factual, and focused on the home or next step.
  3. Save the reply.Edit or delete it later from Replies. Deleting removes the saved template, not messages already sent.

Landlord Premium settings also include an optional auto-reply for tour requests, plus thresholds for trending interest, no views, and long vacancy.

Verify email and phone

  1. Open Profile → Verification.Review each protection card and its current state.
  2. For email, send the verification link.Open the link from the correct inbox, return to RentMatcher, and tap I’ve verified.
  3. For phone, enter an international-format number.Request the six-digit code, enter it, and tap Verify.

Add authenticator protection or a passkey

  1. Open Verification.Choose the authenticator or passkey action shown for your account.
  2. For an authenticator, save the setup in your authenticator app.Enter a current code to finish enrollment. Keep any recovery information private.
  3. For a passkey, follow the iPhone system sheet.Approve with the device authentication method connected to your Apple account.
  4. Confirm the protection state. The Verification screen should show the method as active or ready.
Keep at least one sign-in method

Settings → How you sign in lets you add or remove email, phone, Google, or Apple methods where available. The app prevents removal of the last usable sign-in method.

Manage blocked users

  1. Open Profile → Blocked Users.People blocked from chat or reporting workflows appear here.
  2. Review the person and context.Do not unblock solely to clear the list.
  3. Tap Unblock when you intend to restore interaction. The person leaves the blocked list after the change is saved.

Delete the account

Permanent action

Account deletion removes the RentMatcher account and associated app data covered by the deletion workflow. This is not the same as signing out or removing a sign-in method.

  1. Open Profile and find Delete Account.Read the centered confirmation alert.
  2. Choose Cancel if you are uncertain.Nothing is deleted when you cancel.
  3. Choose Delete Account only to proceed permanently.Keep the app open while the deletion request completes.

Troubleshooting

The email still says unverified

Open the newest link for the same account, return to Verification, and tap I’ve verified. Older links may no longer represent the active request.

The phone code did not arrive

Confirm the country code and phone number, wait briefly, and request a new code. Do not share verification codes with support.

An authenticator code is rejected

Use the current code from the authenticator entry created during enrollment and ensure the iPhone’s date and time are automatic.

Passkey setup is unavailable

Confirm device authentication and iCloud Keychain/passkey support are available for the iPhone and account, then retry from Verification.

I want to change how I sign in without deleting data

Use Settings → How you sign in. Add the replacement method first, verify it, then remove an old method if at least one remains.
